The weekly result adds to a pattern that has become harder to dismiss. Ether funds have drawn nearly as much capital as bitcoin ETFs over the past three weeks despite holding about one-eighth as much in net assets. That ratio—one-eighth the assets, nearly equal capital flows—suggests the pace of fresh money entering ether products is currently keeping step with the much larger bitcoin complex.
Friday brought a reminder that the trend is not one-directional. U.S.-listed spot ether ETFs bled $70.62 million, ending a five-day inflow streak. Still, the monthly tally through July hit $337.74 million, and ether ETFs have now strung together three straight weeks of weekly net inflows. Bitcoin ETFs, meanwhile, booked $103.9 million in weekly inflows despite the Friday rout, but the intraweek swing from a seven-session inflow streak of nearly $1 billion to back-to-back heavy outflow days underscores how fragile the recovery remains.
