Hyperscale Data, Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS) sold approximately 100 bitcoin on July 30, 2026, and established a bitcoin-backed credit facility to accelerate construction of its AI data center campus in Dowagiac, Michigan. The sale, worth roughly $6.5 million at prevailing prices, marks a deliberate shift in how the company funds its pivot from bitcoin mining to AI infrastructure.

The company had built a bitcoin treasury of 1,106 coins valued at about $71.7 million as of July 27. After the sale, its holdings stand near 1,006 bitcoin. Rather than issue equity or take on conventional debt, management chose to monetize a portion of its digital assets and borrow against the remainder at variable rates expected between 4.5% and 5.0%. The lender and facility size were not disclosed.

Executive Chairman Milton “Todd” Ault III described the bitcoin position as a source of financial flexibility. CEO William Horne said the move does not alter the company’s long-term view of bitcoin, framing it as a shift from one balance sheet asset to another.
