Hyperscale Data (NYSE American: GPUS) has liquidated a substantial portion of its Bitcoin treasury, selling approximately 685 BTC for roughly $43 million in cash. The proceeds are earmarked primarily for the continued development and expansion of the company's Michigan AI data center, with additional flexibility to manage debt, equity, and overall capital structure.

The transaction leaves the company holding approximately 275 Bitcoin, down from the 958.5352 BTC it reported as of August 2, 2026, when those holdings were valued at approximately $60.8 million based on a Bitcoin price of $63,482. The sale follows a series of smaller monetizations, including roughly 150.5 BTC sold during the week ended August 2 for about $9.6 million, and approximately 100 BTC sold in late July for roughly $6.5 million.

Executive Chairman Milton "Todd" Ault III framed the move as a capital-allocation decision rather than a strategic departure. "Bitcoin has been an important part of Hyperscale Data's strategy and we expect it to remain an important part of our strategy going forward," Ault stated. The company intends to continue mining Bitcoin and, over time and subject to market conditions, allocate capital toward rebuilding its holdings.

Management also disclosed that the sale reduced debt by approximately $30 million. This deleveraging comes after the company previously borrowed roughly $30 million against part of its Bitcoin treasury through Morpho at a variable interest rate of approximately 4.9%, according to earlier disclosures. The combined effect strengthens the balance sheet as the company pushes forward with its Michigan buildout.
