RHI Magnesita India’s first-quarter FY27 results delivered a 42% year-on-year jump in operating EBITDA to ₹147 crore, pushing the operating EBITDA margin to 14.5%—a 3.7 percentage point expansion—despite what management described as a challenging environment of pricing pressure, cost inflation, and competitive intensity.
The unaudited consolidated figures for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, released on 11 August, show revenue from operations rising 6% to ₹1,014 crore. Profit after tax grew 83% to ₹65 crore, and shipment volumes reached 122 KT. The net cash-to-EBITDA ratio stood at 0.27x.
Chairman Parmod Sagar attributed the performance to the company’s differentiated 4PRO business model, deep customer partnerships, and a solution-led approach. The quarter also marked a leadership transition, with Pankaj Malhan taking over as Managing Director and CEO while Sagar continues as Chairman.
The margin recovery is especially striking when set against the preceding March 2026 quarter, when the company reported a net loss per share of ₹-30.24 on revenue of ₹786.0 crore. That period was weighed down by exceptional items and cost pressures that compressed operating margins. The Q1 FY27 rebound therefore represents a sharp operational turnaround.
On the same day, the company disclosed that its statutory auditor, Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountant LLP, intends to resign in order to align the auditor with the ultimate holding company, RHI Magnesita N.V. Detailed disclosures are expected once signed resignation letters are received.
