Ripple has been named to CNBC’s World’s Top Fintech Companies list for 2026, a recognition that arrives as banks, asset managers, and payments firms increasingly adopt blockchain infrastructure for payments, custody, and tokenization.
The list, produced in partnership with Statista, evaluated more than 2,000 companies across eight categories including digital assets, payments, and enterprise fintech. Ripple’s inclusion marks its fourth consecutive year on the ranking, placing it among a select group of firms shaping the next generation of financial technology.
CNBC’s broader fintech coverage this year has also highlighted Ripple’s native token. In a January segment, the network labeled XRP the “hottest crypto trade of the year,” noting it had climbed more than 20% year-to-date and entered the top three cryptocurrencies by market value. The token was trading around $2.25 at the time of that report, though it remained roughly 38% below its all-time high of $3.65.
Behind the recognition sits a growing institutional footprint. Ripple’s XRP Ledger has seen the value of tokenized real-world assets climb 388% from $900 million at the start of the year to $4.4 billion, according to data from RWA.xyz. Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla has argued that the network is evolving beyond simple tokenization toward a platform where assets can be actively used—lent, rebalanced, or deployed as collateral—rather than sitting idle in digital wallets.
