Strategy Inc. disclosed Monday that it sold 1,638 bitcoin between July 27 and August 2 for $104.7 million at an average price of $63,957 per coin, according to a Form 8-K filed with the SEC. The proceeds were split evenly: $52.4 million funded dividend payments on the company's STRC perpetual preferred stock, and $52.3 million repurchased STRC shares.

The sale reduced Strategy's total bitcoin holdings to 842,138 BTC, acquired at an aggregate cost of $63.5 billion and an average purchase price of $75,419 per coin. At current market prices near $63,759, the position carries an unrealized loss of roughly $10.9 billion.

Alongside the bitcoin sale, Strategy sold 3,011,361 shares of its MSTR common stock through an at-the-market program, raising $290.6 million. Of that, $250 million was added to the company's USD Reserve, which now stands at approximately $4 billion. The reserve extension adds 57 days of coverage, bringing the runway to roughly 2.3 years for preferred dividends and interest obligations.

Executive Chairman Michael Saylor stated on social media that he has never sold his personal bitcoin, distinguishing his individual holdings from the corporate treasury's active capital management. The company also repurchased 912,143 STRC shares for $81.2 million during the week, continuing a buyback program initiated in late June. STRC traded around $89.40 in pre-market sessions, about 10.6% below its $100 par value.
