Strategy completed its third Bitcoin sale of 2026 on Monday, offloading 1,638 BTC for approximately $104.7 million at an average price of $63,957 per coin. The transaction reduced the company's holdings to 842,138 BTC, acquired at an aggregate cost of $63.51 billion and an average price of $75,419, according to an SEC filing.
The sale was executed between July 27 and August 2. Proceeds were split: $52.4 million funded dividend payments on the company's Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (STRC), while another $52.3 million went toward repurchasing STRC shares.
In parallel, Strategy raised $290.6 million through an at-the-market offering of 3.01 million MSTR common shares. Of that amount, $250 million was added to the USD reserve, lifting it to $4 billion, while $28.9 million funded additional STRC repurchases and $11.7 million increased the cash balance.
Executive Chairman Michael Saylor said the moves extended the company's USD runway by 57 days to 2.3 years and tightened STRC's BTC credit spread by 5 basis points. The STRC buyback program, now totaling $81.2 million with 912,143 shares repurchased, operates under a $1 billion authorization.
STRC carries a 12% annual dividend paid semi-monthly and has traded below its $100 par value, recently around $89.40 in pre-market trading.
