U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their strongest weekly inflows since mid-April, pulling in $853.5 million across five consecutive trading sessions from August 3 through August 7, according to SoSoValue data. The streak reversed the prior week's $61.5 million in net outflows and marked a roughly $915 million directional swing.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) absorbed the vast majority of that demand, attracting an estimated $693 million — about 81% of the category's total. Fidelity's FBTC added $40.95 million on the final day alone, while Bitwise's BITB and ARK 21Shares' ARKB drew $2.11 million and $1.94 million respectively. The concentration was even starker earlier in the week: IBIT captured $479 million of the $626 million three-day opening run, roughly 76%.
Not every fund participated. Invesco and Galaxy's BTCO recorded $19.37 million in outflows, VanEck's HODL lost $10.55 million, and Hashdex's DEFI shed $2.94 million. The divergence underscores how institutional allocations continue to cluster in the largest, most liquid wrappers.
Ethereum ETFs added another $244.9 million during the same week, with BlackRock's ETHA leading that side as well. Combined, the two major crypto ETF categories drew more than $1.1 billion, while newer altcoin products — XRP, Solana, and Hyperliquid — saw only limited inflows.
